| Terry
L. Gallinger: I grew up here on The Parker Place, my grandparents' ranch. Tanglewood, as my grandmother liked to call the place, was and remains a place that nurtures my heart and soul. Growing up it seems like there were always extras around; extra kids, dogs, folks. Sunday was a big family day at the ranch and whoever showed up was fed. I look back and am sure that a lot of people who showed up for dinner where only related in their desire for good food and good company. We hope to continue this tradition of western hospitality with our guests. As an elementary school teacher, third generation rancher and former instructor with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), I enjoy outdoor activities, my animals and sharing this beautiful Wind River country with friends and family. When one embraces Wyoming and the Wind Rivers, outside activities become the focus. In addition to all the usual backcountry activities I started noticing bicyclists riding by on their way to Yellowstone. Knowing what lay ahead of them I thought our place would be a good place to stop and get a jump on riding up the big mountain pass (Togwotee) the next day. The idea of a bed and breakfast was born. |

| Lucy
J. Smith: Lucy grew up as a military dependent so traveling was in her blood early. As one of the early instructors at the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) Lucy has traveled the world. She became well known for her mountaineering abilities and climbing expeditions in the Himalayas, including Everest and Annapurna. She is an amazing storyteller; can extend a short story better than most. Lucy is a medical technician and currently works as a registered nurse. She still horsepacks rations into NOLS courses whenever she can. Lucy enjoys the outdoors and has become a very knowledgeable rancher and business partner because of her strong work ethic. Together we hope that you will enjoy your time with us. We hope to share our love of this place as we extend our hospitality by opening our home to you. Get ready to hear tales of Lucy's adventures in Antarctica, Kenya or climbing Everest. |
